What an affiliate link is

Some links to retailers on this site are affiliate links. If you buy something after following one, the retailer may pay us a commission. The price you pay is the same either way.

Where the disclosure appears

A disclosure is shown above the first affiliate link on every page that carries one - product pages, best-of guides and Fit Finder results - not only in this footer page. All affiliate links carry rel="sponsored nofollow noopener".

Nothing happens until you click

The affiliate URL is not embedded in the page you are reading. Buttons point at an internal address on this site, and the affiliate destination is resolved only when you actively click it. That means no affiliate cookie is set by reading a page, and the browser does not prefetch a merchant.

We record an aggregate daily click count per offer so we know which merchants are useful. We do not store your IP address or any identifier alongside it.

How we keep it out of the scoring

• Scores are computed from test sessions and published specifications. Offers are stored in a separate table and are not an input to any score.
• Commission rate is never a ranking factor in the Fit Finder or in a best-of list.
• The Fit Finder can and does recommend products for which we hold no affiliate relationship at all.
• We publish the products we would not recommend, including ones we could earn commission on.

Prices

Any price on this site is the last price we confirmed, shown with the date we confirmed it. Prices older than 24 hours are marked as stale on the page, and we do not put a stale price into structured data. Always check the retailer before buying.

Advertising

We may also show display advertising. Where we do, ad slots are placed so that they do not sit above a page’s direct answer, inside the Fit Finder flow, or inside a comparison table. Advertisers have no access to our editorial process.
